How do I convince my Mom or Dad to use the System?

From the ground up, we have designed our systems, policies, training and facilities around the independent senior. We understand and we want to be a partner in the safety and security of your loved one.

Here are some ideas you are welcome to use as discussion points if you’re having some difficulty convincing a loved one how important the Independent Living System really is…

• Just like you worry about me, I worry about you. I know how important it is for you to be independent and I think I’ve found something that will make both of us feel better.

• The Independent Living System doesn’t mean that you are giving anything up. In fact, just the opposite, the system is designed for you to remain independent. You can go about your day and if something goes wrong, you’ll be in contact with a Care Specialist, specially trained to get you any help you might need. The Care Specialist will get whatever help you need and you can contact them anytime!

• You never have to worry. Even if you accidentally push the button, all you have to do is tell the Care Specialist that everything is OK. That’s all there is to it.

• The Independent Living System is just like insurance. You should have it but, you hope you’ll never have to use it.
